TIPS AND TRICKS

Every year we receive calls about not having any heat or cool from their furnace. Some of these simple repairs can be achieved quit easily at no cost to you the home owner. Try some of these simple steps and you may save money from not having to get that service call.

HEATING

1) Batteries -
Most digital thermostats require batteries. A good habit would be to change them out when you change the batteries' for your smoke detectors

2) Filter
Change your filter once a month. A plugged filter can cause lots of problems including over heating, burning out the blower motor.

3) Intake /Exhaust Pipe
Check the pipes outside, Are they plugged with snow?

4) Power
Has somebody accidently flipped the furnace switch off.

AIR CONDTIONER

1) Copper Lines 
Frozen lines may be caused by poor air flow. Is your furnace filter plugged?

2) Power
Is the power turned off outside. On newer installs a disconnect box would be installed near the outside unit.
